WHY OUDTSHOORN ROTARY RETIREMENT VILLAGE?
The Oudtshoorn Rotary Retirement Village is situated on the bank of the Grobbelaars River in a more quiet part of our rural town but within walking distance from the business centre. The historic suspension bridge over the river is a well-known landmark close by. The village is proud of its beautiful gardens abounding with trees where residents can safely relax, go for walks or get their legs moving on a bike – truly a paradise.
The village was founded as a project of the Rotary Club of Oudtshoorn in 1993 and today they are still actively and enthusiastically involved in the management of the village. Altogether 120 spacious, functional dwelling units provide independent accommodation to our residents. The main building is centrally located and includes a dining hall with an adjacent multipurpose lounge/lecture room that can be adapted or re-arranged to suit various functions and occasions, a care unit, hairdressing salon, administrative offices, a library, kitchen and laundry.
Oudtshoorn Rotary Retirement Village meets all conditions and requirements of the relevant legislation regulating the provision of accommodation and care to older persons. If you are 55 years of age or older and are looking for safe, carefree accommodation with ample provision for your spiritual, physical and social needs, Oudtshoorn Rotary Retirement Village is the answer.
